Truly nothing is more exciting, meaningful and bonding in relationships than connecting and creating together. You have to think win-win. When people have the confidence and the effective communication skills that result in a principle-based internal security, they cease being a law unto themselves. Instead, they become conduits of exchanging insights. And in that very exchange is the synergy that unleashes the team’s creative powers. You have to seek first to understand and then to be understood. You reach the point where both parties are open to influence, teachable, humble, and vulnerable before the team can become creative and produce alternatives and options neither had considered initially. This level of inter-dependence requires two interdependent persons who recognise the interdependent nature of the circumstance, issue, problem, or need. This creates a space for co-creating a ‘synergy’s that is meaningful and powerful. Synergy is a situation in which one plus one equals at least three. It is the highest, most productive and satisfying human interdependence. It represents the ultimate fruit of the tree. And there is no way to get that fruit unless the tree has been planted and nurtured and becomes mature enough to produce it.
